National Maple Syrup Day December 17th

There is no time of day that breakfast does not make for a great meal especially when there are pancakes or French toast involved. With pancakes and French toast comes warm and comforting maple syrup. On December 17th, the world will be celebrating National Maple Syrup day and you can too with ordering breakfast delivered anytime of day from your favorite restaurant through the Eat24Hours website.

Maple syrup is made from the sap of sugar maple, red maple, or black maple trees. Native Americans were one of the first people to collect and create maple syrup. They introduced it to the early American settlers. Common foods that maple syrup is eaten with are waffles, pancakes, French toast, and oatmeal. Personally, I also love it with my sausage links! Maple syrup is also used as an ingredient in many different recipes from beans to casseroles to glazes for hams. Not that you need a National Food Holiday to have a reason to embrace in some delicious breakfast food items anytime of day, but it sure makes for a great excuse to have breakfast for supper!
